The Moebius Deck of Wonders isn’t just a deck of random magic items. Based on a beloved character from Mystic Dragons long-time RPG group.
Each item in the deck is integral to the character of Moebius Spinn and the world they’recreating.
In fact, this deck was crafted as an introductory piece of an entire world of lore…

In ages past, there lived a mysterious, dwarven wizard-king named Moebius Spinn. Through his countless adventures, Moebius had accomplished many great deeds and lived a very meaningful and fulfilling life, enough to fill a thousand lifetimes.
However, as his life-cycle was coming to an end, the great wizard-king wanted to preserve his life’s work and protect the power he had gained before the constraints of his mortal bonds were broken forever.
And so, he created a deck of cards infused with his essence, each card representing an important aspect from his deep well of knowledge. Through these cards, he would share his magic with worthy individuals destined to continue his great legacy.
In that way, he could aid them in their quests, while maintaining the balance of power in the world in his absence.
It was the last act of the mighty wizard before he powered up his greatest creation… the Moebius.
No one other than Moebius Spinn knows what exactly the Moebius does (to be detailed in further publications), but you can get a glimpse of what it looks like on the backs of the cards (the centerpiece of the design).
About the deck…
The Moebius Deck of Wonders has a mind of its own, separate in part to the cards themselves. When Moebius Spinn created the deck, he imparted a bit of his own intelligence and wisdom into it. Along with these abilities, it can also teleport itself without error to any world, plane, or place in time.
For instance, the deck may place itself as part of a treasure hoard at the end of an epic quest, or it may feel the need to appear in a key moment within a quest in hopes of aiding the heroes about to face a particularly tough foe.
While other times it may present itself to the common-folk, hoping to give a lad or lass an edge in a life fraught with peril and misfortune, inspiring them to strike out and make a new life for themselves as an adventurer.
