Lowest roll is on the Defense
If the player on the defense has an initial action card they can play it first
Keep defending with action cards…
Until the roll is higher than the offensive player and roles are exchanged
Continue the fight
Players can block, parry, deflect or strike to offset their roll until a player is defeated and they win that duel.
Losing player discards their Roster card and the Winner takes the card back.
Both player pickup an Action card.
Kill the enemy Shogun and you win
